Service Description

At Shaman's Way Dog Training, we believe in training dogs using force-free, positive methods that are tailored to their unique personality and needs. Our services include a variety of training packages, such as obedience training, and behavior problem-solving. We offer private sessions at home or at a location of your choice. We also offer 3 specialities; Psychiatric Service Dog Training, Non-Psychiatric Service Dog Training and Therapy Dog Training Program with free admittance into our Therapy Team. We even have a new basics Board and Train option! Consistency is Key! In our FREE 60 minutes of getting to meet each other, filling out an behavior/training intake, reviewing your specific needs and goals to create the perfect plan for you and your dog. Vaccination records Dog temperament evaluation Family connections to the training Reinforcement Preferences Positive training verses alternate training methods. Training tools used. The good, bad and the details. How does your dog respond to touch and from who? Obedience cues. What does your dog know well, learning or not yet? Tricks for fun or for a purpose? Does your dog have sensitivities to certain situations? Dog communications and mistranslations? Incorporate parks, public businesses or downtown? Anything else you would like to add The trainer will then create an Individualized Training Plan (ITP). We do not believe in the cookie cutter approach, because no two clients are the same. You will know what the plan is for every class, have homework and explanations you can refer to. Every plan is also flexible and can be subject to change due to your request and or need. We aim to keep connected with check-ins and encourage you to ask questions, share videos etc throughout your time with us and after your completion! Plans vary in length so prices can not be given until after our free Meet and Greet!
