Prerequisite Service Dog Foundation Designed to support children with autism in building confidence,
Service Description
Designed to support children with autism in building confidence, safety, and daily stability through the partnership of a trained service dog. This track includes structured parent involvement, school integration prep, and real-life practice. Stage 2: Intermediate & Task Introduction (8–10 sessions) Anchoring for elopement prevention (stand-stay when child bolts) Blocking to create physical boundaries Interrupting repetitive or self-harming behaviors (tactile touch) Deep Pressure Therapy (lap/lean for calming) Settle on cue in noisy or stimulating environments Begin public access practice with parent present Leash walking near adaptive equipment (strollers, wheelchairs) Touch/target training to redirect focus Stage 3: Tasking with Public Access & School Readiness (6–8 sessions) Maintaining trained tasks in real-world settings (library, store, clinic) Field trip to child-friendly environment for practical testing Response to meltdown simulations Settle quietly near child in class or public seating Navigate transitions and crowds with handler guidance Optional school setting desensitization Public CGC or CGCA evaluation (required for service dog certification track)

This means that we will continue to work with owners who are working hard, and following recommendations for as long as it takes at a deeply discounted rate.
