Dog must be able to demonstrate basic obedience skills In-home and puppy foundations 2–3 public outings (dog-friendly stores, downtown, trails) 1 optional structured hike or high-distraction park Workbook with exercises and behavior journaling Handler-dog practice drills and weekly coaching Possible work with Trainer’s own neutral dog Focus Areas: Off-leash recall prep Precision heel work Long-distance stays and impulse control Advanced distraction training Polite behavior in real-world spaces (e.g. ignoring other dogs) Real-time handler communication (when present) Session Flow Example: Advanced Obedience Check-In Neighborhood Leash Refinement: Directional Cues + Control Trainer-Led Hike or Park: Engagement in Nature Urban Public Outing: CGCU-Level Exposure Distraction Drills: Dogs, People, Shopping Carts, etc. Advanced Commands: Off-Leash Recall, Place, Emergency Down Neutral Dog Work: Calmness Around Other Dogs (if applicable)
